Course Announcement →  .1/16/ (PHL-B111-11182-Spring2016-Ethics)Welcome!
PHL*111 - Ethics
This course serves as an introductory exploration of philosophy and ethics.  Considering the nature of ethical systems, conceptions of right and wrong, and notions of good and evil, this course engages with the questions that have animated moral philosophy throughout history.  Ranging from ancient Greek and Roman ventures into political thought to contemporary debates around issues of social justice, this course will encourage an active and critical engagement with these ideas as they emerge in everyday experience.

The materials found in Blackboard support the work we'll do in class.  The Syllabus can be found here, with any timely modifications made, as well as a folder for each week under Course Content, both at left.  It will be a forum for the submission of discussion questions and where you will find a guide each week to the readings.
